for the past few years we have coined a new vocabulary word around our house...

snack packs

I was noticing just how many ziplock baggies we were using and how wasteful that was 

{I am not one to wash them out and use them four times}

so I went to the tupperware-type isle at Target and found these sectioned plastic containers

pretty sure they are for saving dinners

we use them when all of the kids need a lunch

 like to the zoo

park 

eat in the car on-the-go.

trips

the kids love that they are personalized

I have had to rewrite their names a few times because we use them so much

they are light and they can carry them and fit on small laps quite well

going greener one lunch at a time :)

my first post...a little GREENER

one of my dear friends laura {who has recently moved away, boo hoo!} is a super green girl. her second child was even born on Earth Day, I mean, anyhow she has inspired me to go a little greener.

so I did.

I have wanted to do the {cloth napkin} route but they are just so darn big...with little kids they definitely make MORE of a mess...so I ditched that a few years ago.

well, we're back to them because I had a little idea to make them {littler}

first I cut each napkin in 1/4

i surged the endges

then turned them and bada bing!

4x the napkins

we wash them every week since I made so many {4x to be exact} they even last our family of 5

they have worked out beautifully!
