contemplation

I have gone over and over in my mind for months, maybe even years, about having a blog that featured anything but pictures of my family. I didn't want to post with wrong motives. I like to look at other's blogs and observe their creativity and would absolutely hate it if one of my dear friends didn't post every little thing 'cause I would miss way too much of her life.
So I finally decided to post some things that I have been up to and jump into the blogging world.

here goes::

I love to create things I need. I call myself a functional sewer. I am not a huge fan of patterns, I usually just make it and then use it.
I absolutely LOVE colorful things {paper, fabric, pens, ribbon, pictures, the list goes on}, maybe that's why I majored in Graphic Design and had a ton of fun!

My plan:: Share my makings, my thoughts and some everyday life.
{enjoy}

post #6 :: little bear

over a year ago a dear friend
(long story short she served ice cream at our wedding as a high schooler we didn't know, then "met" her again at FPU in the dorms while David was a RD, she was the first babysitter for Cohl
and became a sweet friend)

anyhow she was pregnant with her first baby
so I really wanted to make something special for her

I found a pattern book with just the "special little someone" I was looking for

this little bear

**handmade with love for Ryan**

{the pattern calls for a tougher fabric so I used a new dish towel that I loved and stitched the eyes and nose and added buttons for the shoulders and hips}

definitely going to repeat this sweet little bear
